Recording video has never been so easy or effortless.

Tips for recording better video with your smartphone.

Select Landscape Video.
Nothing ruins great footage like having two black vertical bars along both sides of your video.
To avoid this amateur mistake, make sure to use landscape orientation and not portrait orientation while recording.
So just remember: never hold your phone vertically while recording.

Best Practices for filming on your phone.
Use a solid surface to place your mobile device on
Shooting directly down will capture everything on your screen
Avoid pointing lights directly at the device to prevent a glare
Take note of the focus – try using manual focus and exposure so your camera doesn’t adjust in the middle of the video

Now that you're recording in the proper orientation, completely fill the frame with your subject. You can also put him or her or it slightly off-center to create a more visually interesting scene. Just play around and see what looks best.

Nothing is worse than digital zoom - just ask any professional photographer. Thankfully, we're now in an era where a lot of the top smartphones come with a lossless or 'optical' zoom, which lets you zoom in without losing a lot (if any) of the detail.

There's something else you should keep in mind when thinking about flash and lighting in general: avoiding backlit-settings.

Use a solid surface to place your mobile device on
Shooting directly down will capture everything on your screen
Avoid pointing lights directly at the device to prevent a glare
Take note of the focus – try using manual focus and exposure so your camera doesn’t adjust in the middle of the video

Remember; a recommended complete course has:
